Hidden Treasures is Walyalup | Fremantle’s long-running music festival, bringing fresh talent to unique venues and delivering unforgettable live performances every year.
This June, this celebration of WA music returns for three thrilling nights, kicking off at the historic Buffalo Club, its original festival venue.
Tucked between a tattoo parlour and a picture framer on High Street, the Buffalo Club offers a truly intimate experience.
Founded in 1938 by the Antediluvian Order of Buffalos, the venue transformed into a beloved live music hub for local artists.
Music lovers will recognize the Buffalo Club as a space where legendary performances have electrified audiences in past years.

Festival curators include Abbe May, Nelson Mondlane (POW! Negro) best known as the MC of SUPEREGO, Myriad Sun and People Taking Pictures; Phaedra Watts, Festival Director of The Nannup Music Festival and local garage punk band Last Quokka.

Over the decades, The Buffalo Club has lodged a fraternal order, served returned servicemen, held union assembly, and hosted live music. It has been the second home of dock workers, diggers, darts leagues and punks. More than ever, it is a space for different generations to share a pint, a conversation, and a game of billiards. Our membership is growing and the club’s purpose is being renewed.
